Students pose to spell out "GEOLOGY" on a geology trip. All geology classes at BYU—Idaho have a requirement to get out of the classroom and experience geology live. This gives students a more hands on form of learning.

President Kim B. Clark spoke to the campus about pride and how to avoid it. He gave students four patterns to live by: never do anything to drive the Spirit away; don't let the world get into your heart; serve the Lord; and stand in holy places.
