Enrollment Increases for Fall Semester

The student record and registration department has released enrollment statistics for the fall 2009 semester. Enrollment has increased 1.3% when compared to the fall 2008 semester. Currently there are 13,379 students enrolled at BYU-Idaho. There are 4,298 Freshman, 2,982 Sophomores, 2,660 juniors, and 3,439 seniors. 26% of the BYU-I student body is married. 36% of BYU-I students have served missions for the Church. The university has 337 international students that come from 57 different countries. There are 7,693 female students, whereas there ate 5,686 male students. The university hopes to expand enrollment to 15,000 students by 2015.
