During this time of economic recession and low employment rates among college students, the crossroads, the campus eatery, is not necessarily known for it cheap prices.

In response , the Crossroads has introduced its new Value Menu, giving budget tight students the ability to enjoy their food on campus, at a cheaper price.

The value menu currently carries three items, hamburgers, cheeseburgers and French fries. Hamburgers and French fries cost a simple .99 cents, while cheeseburgers ring in for 1.19.

The Value menu items are served during both the lunch and dinner hours, providing cash strapped students an economical and timesaving  option when eating on campus.

Adam Mitchell shared, “Five to six dollars a meal is too much for my budget, so if there were dollar items and I could stop by and pick things up, it would be nice. ”

It seems students are appreciative of the economic savings regardless of the difference in the quality of the food.

Teton Grill workers said that the most burgers they have sold during a single lunch hour totaled 361 burgers also estimating an average of 1200 value burgers being served each day since they introduced the value menu.

Student reaction to the new menu has been of one of appreciation.  Many are willing to sacrifice taste and quality, for saved time and money.

The new value menu has fewer condiments and smaller portions, but provides an excellent way for students to save money, while eating well.
