Daniel and I's story actually started before we met. In fact, it started while I was serving a mission. During fall of 2007 Daniel was attending school here at BYU-I and I was finishing up the last leg of my mission in Wisconsin. One day, during Daniel's English class, he spotted an attractive young lady and worked up the courage to ask her out. This girl was obviously not me... but rather my younger sister. I remember my sister writing me emails while I was still in Wisconsin telling me about a boy that had been asking her out. She kept saying that he was super nice and very thoughtful, but that she wasn't sure if she was really into him. Within a few months I returned home. The first time that I met Daniel he was actually on a date with my younger sister at a concert. I found Daniel charming and hilarious so naturally I encouraged my sister to pursue him She would say things like, "I don't know, he seems more your type." Well it turned out that Daniel wasn't all that into Brooke either but they continued to be friends and continued to hang out with one another. One evening, Daniel came over to our apartment to visit with my sister, but she was swamped with homework so she suggested he hang out with me. So we did...and we liked it! From that day forward we looked for excuses to hang out. The next few months we spent most of our free time together. Like most girls, when I realized that this could be serious (that it could be a forever thing) I freaked out and broke up with Daniel. Actually it was more like a half breakup because we still talked on the phone everyday and hung out occasionally. I told Daniel we should date other people which I was fine with until he actually started dating other people! I tried to play it cool and hide my jealousy, but after a week of seeing him with someone else I couldn't take it anymore. Luckily he still liked me and it showed, because his new girlfriend gave him the ultimatum...and he chose me. I knew that because I had been indecisive about our relationship that Daniel would be too scared to bring up marriage and our future plans. So I had to take the initiative. I asked Daniel to marry ME! He said yes! From then on out we got to enjoy stressful wedding planning and Daniel officially proposed. Thanks to my sister I found my match. The End.
