A TRUE REMNANT OF THE PAST

Local author has book signing at BYU-Idaho’s Bookstore

REXBURG, Idaho BYU–Idaho Bookstore will host alumni and local author of  Esias: Remnants of the Past, for a book signing November 13, 2009 from 11 a.m to 1 p.m.  He breaks the mold in story writing, by combining fantasy with one of the world’s most controversial topics.

Vernon’s Book Esias: Remnants of the Past steps off the path of a typical fantasy book, by introducing the idea of religion. Esias: Remnants of the Past is a fantasy novel that will appeal to anyone that loves fantasy” said Vernon. Vernon said the book is about a kingdom of people who follow a wicked king and false religion. Emane Esias, the hero of the story, is heir to the thrown but is in hiding.  Emane follows his path and fights to bring down both the wicked king and the false religion.

Aside from being available for purchase on Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com, surrounding bookstores will also carry his novel including his alumamatre BYU–Idaho (formaly Ricks College).

Vernon found his love for writing while attending Ricks College where he wrote for Scroll, the student newspaper.  Esias: Remnants of the Past is the first book he’s published and is the first in a series.

Vernon is from Sugar City, Idaho. When he is not writing he loves running.  He is currently the assistant cross-country coach at Sugar Salem High School.
